About the Authors and Illustrator

Author- Cheryl Carroll (Vinni & Wren’s Nana Co-Author and Illustrator- Laura Sing (Vinni & Wren’s Mum)
Mother and daughter team, set out to write a fun and entertaining children’s book to showcase the Salty Sings unique life style. Cheryl lives in rural Victoria Australia, and spends most of her holidays with the Salty Sing’s. Laura is a full time mum and illustrator. Never a dull moment living on a boat.

named ‘Salty Sings’, with 2 young children and a dog living on our boat full time we are always pretty salty.

Zoe Bay falls-
A hike up to waterfalls on the epic Hinchinbrook Island.

Always up for a ‘rough house’ with Dad.

Our dog ‘Sailor’
She is a toy Cavoodle and she first moved aboard October 2022 when she was a puppy.

Dion- Amazing dad! Aim is to spend as much time with Vinni and Wren as he can. Loves fishing/spearfishing and adventure.

Lady Musgrave Island-
One of our favourite places to visit on the Great Barrier Reef.

We have lived aboard Salty Sings for over 4 years.

Laura- Loves the ocean, sailing to the reef, loves spearfishing and reeling in a big catch.

Could play a the beach all day!

Love to play at the back of the boat in clear water.

A-hoy matey

Brother and sister duo always up for an adventure.

Wren 4- wild, free, adventurous, girly, loves the reef, puppies and hopes to swim with a whale shark one day.
